Now, online dating blog to aid eligible police bachelors in finding partners

China National News (ANI) Wednesday 8th February, 2012

A China based online blog, which offers an opportunity for single police officers to find their date as per their convenience, has become a huge hit on the Internet.

The move is part of a "plan of rescuing single police officers" launched by the Wuhou public security bureau in Chengdu of Sichuan province, the China Daily reported.

Reportedly, the micro blog has become the most popular Weibo among the police services in China.

The site has more than 2,000 followers looking forward to date the gun-toting officers, but many complain the officers only come online during their afternoon break or after a night shift.

"They are all so handsome. It's hard to choose who my favorite is. Just sign me in," a woman said.

Shi Yi, vice director of the political department of the bureau, asserted that the activity aims to help single officers find girlfriends as their working ours are unstable which make it hard for them to meet girls.

The activity will end on Tuesday and only five singles have been chosen on Weibo as they work far from home.

Shi said he didn't know if any of them has a date yet as "it all depends on them." (ANI)
