JINAN, Jan. 8, 2021 (Xinhua) -- Wang Yansen is director of the Department of Medicine in Shandong Third Provincial Hospital. He went to Hubei last year to aid the fight against COVID-19 as the head of a medical assistance team. During the 38-day work at a makeshift hospital in Wuhan, Wang and his teammates achieved the good results of zero death of patients and zero infection of medical personnel.

On Dec. 15, 2020, China officially launched a vaccination program for this winter-spring period targeting several key groups. These groups include those engaged in the handling of imported cold-chain products, customs officers, medical workers, and people working in public transport and fresh produce markets.

In Shandong, more than 210,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to key groups.

As a doctor, Wang received the injection of the vaccine. The vaccination strengthened our determination and confidence in prevail over the COVID-19, Wang said.
