BEIJING, May 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic Radman on Friday exchanged congratulatory messages on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
In his message, Wang said since the establishment of China-Croatia diplomatic ties 30 years ago, bilateral relations have maintained stable and positive development momentum, and bilateral cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results, bringing benefits to the people of the two countries.
Wang said he is willing to work with Foreign Minister Radman to jointly implement the important consensus reached by leaders of the two sides, continuously strengthen cooperation between foreign ministries of the two countries, and help lift bilateral relations to a new level.
Radman said that over the past 30 years since the establishment of Croatia-China diplomatic ties, bilateral relations have been developing steadily on the basis of mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity and the friendship between the two countries is growing ever stronger.
Croatia attaches importance to the cooperation in jointly building the Belt and Road, Radman said, adding that the country's relations with China are an important part of the EU-China relationship and of the ties between China and Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC).
Croatia will continue to play an active role in promoting EU-China cooperation and expects China-CEEC cooperation to yield more results, he added.
