KABUL -- Seven people were killed and 41 others injured as a blast rocked the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan area of the Afghan capital on Friday, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said.
"A car with explosives exploded in front of the Wazir Akbar Khan Mosque, and unfortunately our worshippers who were coming out of the mosque after performing Friday prayers were targeted," Zadran said on his Twitter account. (Afghanistan-Blast-Deaths)

DAMASCUS -- At least 73 people died from a boat that sank off the Syrian coast on Thursday, the Syrian Health Ministry said Friday.
Twenty others have been rescued and sent for medical treatment at the al-Basel hospital in the Syrian coastal city of Tartous after the boat sank in the Syrian waters, Health Minister Hassan al-Ghabbash said in a statement. (Syria-Migrant Boat-Maritime Disaster)

TEHRAN -- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said if the United States fulfills its commitments, lifts the sanctions on Iran and refrains from breaking its promise, it will be possible to reach an agreement on the revival of a 2015 nuclear deal, official news agency IRNA reported on Friday.

PHNOM PENH -- A boat carrying Chinese nationals sunk off southwestern Cambodia's sea on Thursday evening, the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia confirmed on Friday.
According to the Chinese embassy, they received a notification from the Cambodian Police Department on Thursday night, saying that the police found a sunken ship which used to have 41 Chinese citizens on board, with 18 having been rescued and the remaining 23 missing. Two Cambodian crew members involved have been arrested. (Cambodia-China-Missing)
